Industrial Relations 101

A comprehensive Industrial Relations Training Program for HR/IR Practitioners, Employment Lawyers and Line Managers

Susan Weston of Industrial Relations Learning shares how IR101 is an invaluable learning experience and navigational aid - not just for beginners but for anyone looking to fill knowledge gaps and update their skills after all the recent changes. The 2024 updates to IR101 will be available from 28 February 2024.

Back in 2011, leading industrial relations and employment lawyer Theresa Moltoni (now Deputy President Dobson OAM, Fair Work Commission) and her principal consultant Susie Weston had a vision to create a practical learning experience covering Australian industrial relations.

The learning would target HR generalists, up-and-coming IR practitioners and graduate lawyers seeking to specialise in employment law. It would also present technical aspects in a practical and meaningful way for line and operational managers supervising employees.

This innovative and practical learning would equip professionals to develop the skills they need to navigate the IR environment, keep up to date as it evolves and learn how to respond to workplace issues using best practice – procedurally fair, timely, effective and delivering strategic outcomes for your business. Participants would also have access to a practical tool kit of forms and templates.

In 2023, Susie Weston became the owner of Industrial Relations Learning, which now offers this essential training package.
